Antidote: #0005: You Can Improve Your Circumstances
When you end up
where you don’t want to be — ‘how did I get here?’
When Life pushes against you — ‘why isn’t anything working?’
When you drift from the path you set out to follow — ‘why am I sucking at this?’
Your circumstances can feel overwhelming and even depressing.
But your life isn’t over. you can come back. your situation isn’t final. The problems you’re facing aren’t going to last forever.
My life has been in turmoil lately.
A combination of misfortunes and lack of energy / resources has left me feeling at sea.
My desire is to create wonderful, impactful things. But you may be surprised how difficult this path may be.
Like you, I have many obstacles in my path.
Some that have been thrown my way —
Some made by my own hands, because of the life that I want to create.
But that’s life. We all have obstacles we must face, problems to overcome, and mountains we’ve decided to climb.
If you’ve decided to pursue a dream or purpose.
If you stand for anything.
You will face your own share of obstacles and strife too.
It’s up to each of us to make the most of our circumstances
and to strive to find solutions for our problems.
In fact it’s our responsibility.
Our mission to improve our circumstances, and to pursue our best selves.
How to Start Improving Your Circumstances
Dreams aren’t handed to us, we must make them.
The world doesn’t owe us anything.
We must take responsibility for the life and impact we want.
When in doubt, ask for help:
We are not islands — sometimes we need a helping hand.
Seek Advice. Wisdom falls on the ears that listen.
Surround yourself with brilliant people who want you to succeed.
And take it one step at a time:
Progress is incremental. Success happens one step at a time.
Overnight success isn’t overnight. It’s a cumulated streak of daily effort and habit.
Don’t compare your internal world to someone’s external world. I’m sure if you ask them, they’ll have their own set of issues they are dealing with as well. Everyone is.
You can improve your circumstances.
Go out and do it today. and everyday.
