Ignorance is Bliss, but Gullibleness is a Road to Ruin. (Gullibleness? is that a word…? is now!)
You may find out the hard way, but everyone is not out for your success..
In fact some might even want to see you crash and burn.
Being Gullible means believing everything you hear, and taking it for absolute truth —
without thinking about it,
without relating it your core values and views,
without testing it,
without being self-aware,
without researching the source,
and without listening to your gut.
I think it’s okay to be naive — this is how we all must begin, each time we start something new, or strive for a goal — but being gullible is stupid. (Believe me, I know — found out the hard way)
Being Gullible is Just Stupid +
We are all at the center of our own universe,
so it takes someone truly brilliant to step out of themselves and help others;
to see how they fit within the greater world and what they can do to make it better.
