CHALLENGE: Take on a new social hobby!

If you’re like me, a lot of your daily activities / work are done solo.

Sure, there might be some interacting with coworkers (…what’s that?), members of your staff / group / clients (…who?), and other interactions with friends and family (I know about those!) – but the fact is most Art is done in solo-mode. I’m talking about the act of creating something, whatever your medium may be – writing, drawing, coding, reading, artisanal basket weaving…

The CHALLENGE of this week is START a new social hobby. The activity can be anything you want, as long as it involves connecting with others, and also make it something that is new to you, or at least an activity you haven’t done in a long time.  And the more outside the comfort zone the better. Meaning, if the mere act of thinking about doing it makes you sweat and weak in the knees –> THEN DO IT. Action Steps Baby.

The CHALLENGE will not help you develop into your best self, but more importantly, will help others be theirs. But don’t take my word for it ~

Here’s a list of suggestions for your CHALLENGE:

  • Join a Sports League in your local area (Soccer, Basketball, you name it). Or ask some people you’ve met recently to play. (Bonus point if you ask strangers.)
  • Go to an Entrepreneurship Meetup. Or other type of social get-together that you enjoy doing.
  • In fact, any type of Meetup will do in a pinch.
  • Check out a Dance club or group class. (I’ve been doing this one recently, It’s a BLAST!)

Alright, so you know what you have to do, now go DO IT.
