Lost and Found: The Number One Thing I Did in 2018
Isn’t it funny that the thing we often need the most, is the thing we do the least?
I got distracted in 2018.
Distracted by things I thought I needed, and by consequences of living in denial of your circumstances. Pain, sour outcomes, nickel and dimer’s…
There’s good things in bad situations, but when there’s multiple bads, it’s difficult to square up the energy to look for the good.
In 2018, I lost and found the number one thing we should all be giving towards each day:
I put stress over my wellbeing, because, well, stress. But stress isn’t the root of the problem, just a side effect of the problem. Stress amplifies the emotional intensity of the situation. It highlights what’s wrong, or more generally, it highlights.
If you are not at least putting a small amount of time attention and care into your own wellbeing, you are doing a disservice to yourself and your pursuits. Self-care enables us to be more capable.
For me, its doing yoga every day, writing everyday, respecting bedtime, seeking advice and beginning to give myself more time for rest and rejuvenation.
Lord knows we all need a little more rest.
