"There's a difference between sleight of hand, and giving everything you are..."
-Thrice, Artist in the Ambulance -

People can feel your authenticity.

If you don't go all-in - in your work, your relationships, your anything - It's going to show.

It will show in your work; Your friends will know; Your fans will feel it...

They can see it on your face. They can hear it in your voice. Recognize it in your word.

The key is being Authentic, rather than counterfeit.

Being Authentic means being yourself - your whole self - know matter where you are, what you're doing, or who you're with.

When you become someone else - or when you only give a sliver of who you are - that relationship will feel shallow (only surface-level) and you will feel fragmented. (a million different versions, for a million different people.)

Being Authentic is about being honest.

With yourself; With others.

You have to live with honesty, by aligning what you say with what you do and not being afraid of standing by that and who you are.

Being Authentic is about being open.

Closing yourself off may feel safe - but what you're doing is holding your real self back, which holds your life back.

You're putting up walls between yourself and your relationships, your opportunities, and your success.

And maybe you don't even realize you're doing it. (This was me.) Once you recognize it -

Tear down your walls - Be Authentic. Go All-In. Speak up. Be your Whole Self. Be Weird. And Honest. And Open. Your life will thank you.
